    • Zij kwamen op 26 oktober 1847 in New York aan. Ze waren gereisd met het schip de 'France' waar ook de passagiers van de latere Phoenix opzaten. Waarom zij niet op de Phoenix zaten is niet bekend. Mogelijk zijn zij eerst naar Clymer, NY gegaan waar hun zoon Wander zich vestigde.
